Welcome to Glencoe Wood Estate

Glencoe Wood Estate is located on the banks of Loch Leven in one of the most beautiful parts of the Highlands in Scotland. Glencoe Wood estate is the official residence of Lord Richard Melia.

Glencoe Woods extend over 17,000 acres and including one of the best deer forests in the west Highlands. The estate property shown here, was built with the famous red sandstone in 1876, and was designed for family living, but also to accommodate sporting parties during the fishing and shooting seasons.

The property, now category A listed boasts a particularly large and well stocked library, a beautiful drawing room with an elegant fireplace and spectacular views across the gardens and Loch Leven. The property has 18 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 4 sitting rooms plus its own armoury, billiard room and basement and cellars.

The immediate gardens around the house were laid out when the property was built; they feature wonderful mature trees framing a large lawn which slopes down to the Loch Leven. The loch is an enchanting stretch of water where the mountains meet the water.

The property also has its own workshops, stables, a boat house, kennels and game larders as well as four stand-alone cottages. The fishing rights extend to the entire Loch with salmon and trout fishing. The estate is located just over a mile from the village of Glencoe.
